Our Teachers

At Whiteoak Academy, we hire trained educators who embody the qualities of organization, energy, and a profound passion for their craft. Each member of our teaching staff undergoes a rigorous selection process, ensuring that they possess either prior teaching experience or formal qualifications in teaching or the performing arts. Moreover, many of our instructors maintain active engagement within the performing arts industry, enriching their expertise and enhancing the educational experience they offer our students. As part of our commitment to safety and security, every teacher holds a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, further affirming our dedication to providing a secure learning environment for all

Discipline policy
At Whiteoak Academy, maintaining discipline and professional behaviour is a fundamental requirement for all students. Timeliness and wholehearted commitment are indispensable for unlocking one’s full artistic potential. Aspiring individuals aiming for excellence within our programme must fully understand the importance of self-discipline and unwavering dedication. Whiteoak Academy maintains the right to cancel the enrolment of any student whose behaviour is considered inappropriate, disrespectful, or harmful to the positive learning environment for both fellow students and staff members.

What do children need to bring?
Branded T-shirts are available for sale. During dance sessions, students should wear these shirts, ideally paired with leggings for girls and joggers for boys, along with appropriate shoes for movement. We provide recommendations for ballet attire to ensure uniformity, but we encourage students to follow the specified dress code.
Students should bring an ample supply of water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Please note that Whiteoak Academy is a nut-free environment, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community safe for all students.”

Certificates and awards
At the end of the academic session, students who have had an attendance of 90% receive certificates. We prioritize commitment and effort over ability, believing that children should receive rewards for their resilience and sportsmanship.
Once children have reached a two-year milestone, they will receive a branded medal from the academy to reward their commitment.

Parental feedback
During the third term, students will undergo various assessments, including oral assessments and practical demonstrations, to enhance their skills across the performing arts.
Literacy and numeracy assessments will also be conducted to pinpoint areas in need of support. Parents will receive written progress reports, and the centre lead will provide ongoing verbal feedback.

Performances
Whiteoak Academy operates on a three-term, three-theme per year schedule. Biannually, Whiteoak Academy invites family and friends to attend presentations showcasing dance, drama, and singing, allowing students to showcase their performance skills.
We design performances to ensure the inclusion of every student, providing both individual challenges and fostering teamwork among them.
